Teno 11
If the previous Teno 10 was one of my favorites then this unfortunately falls in the other end of the spectrum. This is also noted as number 12 in the series for example in Wanhat Suomalaiset Lohiperhot but I rely my numbering on a later article by Pertti Kanerva from 2018 where he has Vaalama’s notes about numbers 11 and 12 having switched places. Although my patterns are mainly from WSL and they differ a bit from the patterns in that article.
Tip: Gold wire.
Tag: Yellow floss.
Tail: Golden Pheasant crest and tip of red hackle.
Butt: Black Ostrich herl.
Rib: Oval silver tinsel.
Body: 1st half yellow floss and 2nd half black floss with a yellow hackle in between.
Hackle: Red with a black hackle over it.
Wing: White tipped Turkey, Golden Pheasant and Capercaillie on top.
Topping: Golden Pheasant crest.
Horns: 1-2 fibers of Amherst Pheasant.
Head: Black.
