Freestyle Salmon Fly
I tied this fly for flytyingforums Fly Tyer of The Year -competition couple years ago and I remember naming it but can’t remember what it was called. Thought I’d share it here since most people haven’t seen it because it didn’t win the competition. I hope you like it.

Tag: Oval gold tinsel and black floss
Tail: Golden Pheasant crest dyed black and red Parrot
Butt: Black Herl
Ribs: Gold lace and wide flat gold tinsel
Body: Black floss
Bodyhackle: Silver badger dyed fl. orange
Throat: Black Heron and two fibers of red Parrot
Underwing: Jungle Cock
Wing: Natural grey Turkey with streaks of yellow, orange and red Turkey in between
Sides: Jungle Cock
Cheeks: Western Bluebill
Topping: Golden Pheasant crest dyed black
